The voices of talented Japanese and Vietnamese singers could be heard in Ho chi minh city on May 26 at the second night of the Vietnam-Japan Music Gala.
The gala in Hcm city and in Hanoi two days earlier, featured performances by Japan-Vietnam Special Ambassador and Vietnam-Japan Special Friendship Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro alongside Japanese and Vietnamese popular singers.
The singers included Godai Natsuko, Shimatani Hitomi, Natsukawa Rimi, Akikawa Masafumi, the Winds band, Thanh Lam, My Linh, My Tam, Ho Quynh Huong, Trong Tan and Tan Minh.
With the theme “Dream for Peace,” the event aimed to conveyed a message of peace from Vietnamese and Japanese people to the world.
The gala nights were held to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Vietnam and Japan and were the first time the two nations had collaborated for such events.
