Noi Bai Airport
Railway joining Hanoi Station with Noi Bai Airport proposed
A scheme to build a railway route joining
Ha noi
railway station with terminals T1, T2 of the Noi Bai International Airport has been submitted by the
Vietnam
Railway Corporation to the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam for approval.
At present, the Noi Bai International Airport is linked with industrial zones and system of supermarkets in Dong Anh District by the only Thang Long Highway.
The increase in the number of customers and cargoes arriving at or in transit via the Noi Bai International Airport is estimated to reach 10 percent every year.
It is predicted that the two terminals T1 and T2 will receive some three million international passengers and over 3.3 million local passengers by 2010.
According to the
Vietnam
Railway Corporation, the building of the said railway route will not only help ease the traffic congestion but also ensure traffic safety in the coming future.
