Korean beauty queens performs Hanbok in Hanoi - Miss Korea 2007
Fifty two Korean beauty queens of the Korean Beauty contest 2008 performed impressively traditional Korean Hanbok costume during a show held in Hanoi last night .
The ancient culture of Korea was recalled through Tang-ui costumes, which were being used as royal costumes under the Chosun Dynasty, the wedding Hongwonsam costumes, the ritual Jeok-ui costumes under the Chosun Dynasty, and the Gongryongpo – the King’s everyday costume.
Along with Hanbok, hair designs of the Chosun Dynasty and performance in the background music from “De Jang Kum” and “Doctor Ho Jun”, the two films that are popular in Korea and have been shown on Vietnamese Television brought the audience back to the ancient world of Korea.
The first part of the show concluded with the appearance of two Miss Korea 2007 Lee Jae A in Vietnamese long traditional dress (ao dai) and Park Ga Won in Hanbok. Vietnamese ao dai and Korean hanbok together on the stage received the warm acclaim from the audience.
The second part of the show was the talent performances of beauty queens.
The programme was held by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to mark the 16th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
