A centre for Dong Ho folk paintings has been opened in Dong Ho village, Song Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac ninh province by artisan Nguyen Dang Che.
The centre with three houses covering an area of more than 5,000 square metres displays and makes various handicrafts, paintings and traditional products.
Nguyen Dang Che invested more than 3 billion VND to build this first centre to preserve the Dong Ho folk painting.
He has contributed to restoring the tradition of Dong Ho folk paintings. At present, these paintings are exported to some foreign countries.
